I oppose the proposed West Street Tunnel as part of the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site. I believe that the resulting harm to people who live and work in Lower Manhattan will far outweigh the benefits to anyone. In my opinion, this project is wasteful, unnecessary and harmful to Lower Manhattan. It will cause years of construction disruptions, noise, dust and dirt. It will harm the character of our neighborhood and reduce quality of life for us, for our children, and for future generations.
